Michie was called to the Ontario Bar in 1981. Michie was a partner in the Toronto firm Cassels, Brock & Blackwell before joining our firm in 1991.

Michie has a varied practice, with particular emphasis on owner managed private companies, including tax planning for individuals, and not-for-profit association work.

Michie served as a director of Moorelands Community Services for 6 years and as President for 2 years. He continues to be extensively involved with Moorelands Community Services. He is also a director of Toronto Vintners, Toronto's oldest wine tasting club.

Michie has two daughters, one of whom will study law at the University of Toronto and one of whom studies medicine at the University of Western Ontario. He enjoys cycling, wine and food, golf, reading, film and theater.
