    Ray has been practicing law for over 50 years. He started his career as a member of Alexander, Hughes and Archer. The firm became known as Hughes, Archer, followed by Hughes, Archer, Dorsch, and eventually as Hughes, Dorsch, Garland, Coles LLP in 2005. Throughout the many changes over the history of the firm, Ray still remains as one of the original, founding members.

    Ray practises in many areas of law. His areas of concentration include wills and estate planning as well as commercial real estate and corporate law.

    Personally, Ray is active in his community. He served as a director of Moorelands Community Services, an organization that works with Toronto's children and youth affected by poverty. Ray also served as director of York Downs Golf and Country Club. He is actively involved in his parish, currently serving as President of St. Philips Community Resource Center.

    Ray is married with three children and eight grandchildren. He is very family oriented and spends lots of time with all of them. He enjoys a variety of activities including playing golf, tennis and fishing at his cottage on Lake Kawagama in Haliburton.
